What is a genuine (OEM) part?
A genuine part — often called an OEM part (Original Equipment Manufacturer) — is the exact component the vehicle maker fits at the factory, sold under the maker's own part number. It is not an aftermarket copy or a used item. For anything safety-related, or where fit and finish matter, a genuine part removes the guesswork: it is guaranteed to be the right part for your vehicle.
What you need: the genuine part number
The single most important thing is the genuine OEM part number — usually a string of digits (a Toyota number, for example, looks like 90915-YZZD1). With the correct number there is no ambiguity about which part you receive. Here is where to find it:
- On the old part. Many parts have the number stamped or printed on them, or on a label.
- From a parts diagram. Online OEM parts catalogues (EPC) let you drill down by model to the exact part and its number.
- From a dealer. A local or Japanese dealer can look the number up from your vehicle details.
- From your VIN or frame number. If you are not sure which part fits, send us your model, year and VIN (cars) or frame number (motorcycles) and we will help identify the correct one.
Why genuine, not aftermarket?
- Guaranteed fit. The part number maps to your exact vehicle — no cross-referencing, no "should fit".
- Original quality. The same material, tolerances and finish as the factory part.

- Send us the part number. Give us the number (and your VIN or frame number if you are unsure). We confirm the exact part, the price, and — importantly — that it is actually in stock at the maker before you pay.
- We order it direct. We buy the brand-new genuine part through official Japanese dealer channels.
- It arrives at our warehouse. For in-stock, in-production parts this typically takes about 2–4 business days.
- We consolidate and ship. Combine it with other parts or orders to save on freight, then we ship worldwide with FedEx or Japan Post — with a commercial invoice and HS codes so it clears customs cleanly.
How long does it take?
For a genuine part that is still in production and in stock at the maker, count on roughly 2–4 business days for it to reach our Japan warehouse. International shipping to your country is on top of that and depends on the service you choose — express couriers are fastest; economy and sea options are cheaper but slower. We give you the shipping options and prices before anything leaves Japan.
What we can't source new
- Discontinued parts. Once a maker stops producing a part, it can no longer be ordered new. We will tell you straight away and look for a good used one instead.
- Out-of-stock parts. Occasionally a part is on back-order at the maker; we will give you the expected timing before you commit.
- Parts that can't fly. Some automotive parts are dangerous goods — airbags and seat-belt pretensioners (pyrotechnic), fuel tanks that have held fuel, and loose lithium batteries can't go by air. Ask us and we will confirm what can ship before you buy.
